Vancouver Writers Festival

The 38th annual Vancouver Writers Fest flagship Festival takes place from October 20–26, 2025 almost entirely on Granville Island! This year’s Festival features a scintillating lineup of over 130 local and international authors, in 85+ events that will spark empathy, action, and transformation. This year’s Festival program will explore the issues and themes dominating the cultural and political sphere, and open the door to wider understanding. It will dig deep into what it means to be Canadian, and our role in a rapidly shifting geopolitical landscape. Most of all, it will offer readers of all ages an opportunity to hear from some of the finest authors working today, and discover new books from every genre that deserve a place on your shelf.
