Headed by proprietor and sakemaker Masa Shiroki, Artisan Sake Maker is the first boutique premium sake winery in Canada. Producing wines in small lots, Masa aspires to create new styles of sake to complement the seasonal flavours of local West Coast foods. His wines may be purchased at his studio in Railspur Alley.

Sake & Tapas Central, located right next door, is a cozy space where guests can enjoy sake tasting flights, original cocktails, and tapas made with local ingredients. We also feature items made with sake kasu (sake lees), offering flavours you can only enjoy here. With both dine-in and grab-and-go options, it’s a welcoming stop for lunch, a light dinner, or a quick bite before or after exploring the many arts and cultural experiences on Granville Island.
