SUMMARY:Mastering Skin Tones: Tiling and Edges with Justin Ogilvie
DESCRIPTION:Come join Justin as he demonstrates the fundamentals of figurative painting. Using basic colour theory he will mix palettes for different skin types (cool\, warm and dull) as well as for various lighting situations. Emphasis is placed upon ‘tiling’ colours next to each other (darks\, half-tones\, lights) in a mosaic-like manner\, and then refining edges to depict lifelike 3-dimensional form. In working from a photographic source\, Ogilvie will adjust colour\, value\, saturation\, and temperature to create a powerful portrait painting. Attendees of this demonstration will learn how to create fresh skin tone colours using more confident brushwork!
