DESCRIPTION:QUEER ARTS FESTIVAL 2024 is welcoming summer with Varied Editions\, a group exhibition now running at Malaspina Printers that showcases the diversity and queerness of the printmaking community. Varied Editions takes its title from the printmaking technique in which an artist alters individual prints within a greater context to create a series of similar\, but uniquely distinct artworks. Pieces by 12 artists will be displayed\, reflecting the breadth of divergence and practices within the medium. The creatives play with the 2024 fest’s theme\, The Ties That Bind\, or the queer family.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a queer printmaking group show opening this Friday July 21st from 6PM – 9PM in the project spaces at 1555 Duranleau Street. The exhibiton is open to the public Thursdays to Sundays\, 12PM – 5PM\, until August 13th. Printmaking has a strong history of protest and endurance\, this exhibition celebrates the experiences of Vancouver artists within the LGBTQIA2S+ community through print media. \nThis exhibition has been organized by queer Vancouver artists Cheryl Hamilton and Ed FuChen Juan.
